Purpose
The purpose of the course is to teach the students the basic restoring principles and techniques, offering a personalized attention, all the way to getting a maximum level of knowledge.
Reasonable limits to their learning are set by students themselves, always under the teacher's tutoring. This way it is possible to guide the student to restoring's professional environment through an entertaining learning experience.
Contents:
First module: Basic restoring.
Materials, working tools, biology of wood, wood treatments and disinfection, basic cleaning, restoring of carpentry mistakes, dying and colouring, basic varnished and polished finishings, short history of furniture.
Second module: General overview of fine wood working, marquetry, new materials, selective cleaning procedures, chemical coating, machinery, specific varnishing.
